Old Salem Museums and Gardens is one of America’s most comprehensive historical attractions. So how do you ensure that the celebration of early America remains relevant and exciting in the 21st Century? As this historical landmark set out on an ambitious $17.66M capital campaign (echoing Salem’s founding in 1766), we helped Old Salem Museums and Gardens leverage the values of this venerable institution in a compelling way—appealing to donors, friends, and visitors alike.
On Common Ground — a comprehensive capital campaign to revitalize and re-imagine the potential of Old Salem Museums and Gardens — arose from the firm belief that the past can serve to inform the present and future. Strong character, tireless commitment, and an optimistic belief in personal and social betterment are the common ground shared by the first residents of Salem and their modern day contemporaries.

With an open-minded and proactive response to pressing economic and social realities, the Old Salem Museums and Gardens Board of Trustees approved a comprehensive campaign to revitalize the historic beauty, values, and potential of Old Salem. As the campaign nears its ambitious goal, funds raised from the campaign will be used to support crucial projects, including endowed positions, endowed historic preservation funds, and the restoration of historic buildings and museum centers.
